“Prime Timers” Senior Fellowship
What is it?
This is a gathering of older adults in our church that usually feature coffee,
games, crafts, and guest speakers discussing health, hobbies, or items of
interest to older adults.
The purpose of this group is to reduce loneliness and boost mental and
physical well-being through shared activities like light exercise, book
discussions, and social outings.

Who is it for?
This group is directed towards those who are retired and who may find
enjoyment is activities with other people of same age (generation).
Since it is directed towards retired adults in the church, participation would
be specifically centered on retirement age adults (currently focused on
adults 65 yrs and older) no longer in the work force that may be looking for
social interactions with like minded senior individuals.

How often does it meet?
Initially, gatherings of this group would be scheduled on a monthly basis.
Periodic special outings may also occur such as trips to Columbia, Hannibal,
or even Branson for shows and events; these outings may require additional
expense for the participating individuals.
Scheduling of monthly group gatherings would be based on agreed
date/times of those participating in this group. Also, dependent upon topic
or agreed setting for the monthly gathering, venue could be at VFC, a local
restaurant, or may involve travel to another city for special events or outings.

gathering. There are other groups available at VFC for those seeking
Biblical studies and/or prayer.

Field Nursery (or similar), trip to St Louis or Kansas City for special events,
day trip to Hannibal to ride the Becky Thatcher steamboat, or day trip

Sound Theater.
